Becoming a PorchLight member is a great way to invest in your writing practice. We believe writing is sustained through a supportive community of other writers and artists, access to practical knowledge, and  innovative readings and events.

PorchLight members can pool their knowledge, talk through process set-backs, and find accountability at our monthly Long Project Check-in. Writers with new work can join our Prose or Poetry Exchanges, bi-weekly close reading and critique groups.

Quarterly member open-mics provide the chance for you to try out new work in and intimate and supportive environment.

Members can join us to talk shop, socialize, and meet new team members at the PorchLight Meet-up, every second Tuesday of the month at The Green House.

For those of you who already have a healthy writing community and practice, a PorchLight membership provides these perks:

  • 15% off of classes and ticketed events like the Rooftop Reading Series, or lunches with authors like Natalie Goldberg.

  • Use of the salon for meetings or private work sessions.
